Throughout the approximately two-hour drive, insightful commentary on the region’s rich history and cultural significance will be provided by your expert guide.

The iconic Jesus Christ Statue, a magnificent 32-meter monument perched atop Small Mountain, awaits exploration. Its outstretched arms embrace the sea, a powerful visual testament to faith. A climb of 811 steps is rewarded with panoramic 360-degree views of the Vung Tau peninsula and the shimmering expanse of the East Sea. Spectacular photo opportunities are presented from the viewing platforms located within the statue’s interior spiral staircase, showcasing the stunning coastal panorama.

Next, the invigorating sea breeze at Cape Nghinh Phong (Wind Welcoming Cape) is experienced. Here, dramatic cliffs meet the azure waters, creating a picturesque tableau. A substantial anchor monument adds to the scene’s visual impact, providing the perfect backdrop for capturing memorable photographic moments of the dramatic coastline.

A journey through time unfolds at Bach Dinh (White Palace), an exquisite French colonial mansion, constructed in 1898. This architectural masterpiece, once host to esteemed visitors including royalty, now serves as a museum. Period furnishings and compelling historical displays are presented, illuminating Vung Tau’s colonial past and strategic importance during this era.
A delightful lunch showcasing Vung Tau’s famed fresh seafood is savored at a meticulously chosen local restaurant. From succulent prawns to delicate fish, the culinary experience highlights the region’s abundant maritime bounty.

Pure relaxation is embraced at Thuy Van Beach (Front Beach), a stunning coastal paradise renowned as one of Vietnam’s most beautiful beaches. The soft sand is felt beneath your feet as you stroll along the shore, enjoying a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters, or simply unwinding under the warm tropical sun. This leisurely time allows the tranquil beach atmosphere to be experienced, understanding why Vung Tau remains a beloved weekend destination for Vietnamese travelers.

Before your departure, the unique Thang Tam Temple, also recognized as the Whale Temple, is visited. This venerated cultural landmark honors the sea deity Ca Ong (Lord Whale), providing insight into the spiritual customs of Vietnam’s fishing communities. Whale skeletons and artifacts, showcasing local beliefs in these marine creatures as protectors of seafarers, are housed within the temple.
